Outsourcing delivery for your online shop

Running your own delivery takes a vehicle, a driver and a lot of your time. Per-package couriers are the alternative.

Plenty of small shops deliver their own orders, or book each delivery as a one-off, every day. It works, but it costs more than it needs to and it eats somebody's afternoon.

Pay per package, not per vehicle

With a per-package delivery partner you pay for the orders that actually go out. A quiet week costs less than a busy one, and there is no vehicle, fuel or salary to cover when sales dip.

A regular collection beats ad-hoc booking

Agree a collection time with your courier. Whatever is packed and waiting goes; nobody has to ring anybody.

Choose couriers who represent you

The courier is often the only person from your business your customer ever meets. Presentation, manners and a polite handover are part of your brand, so ask about them.

Start small

Try it for a week or two before committing to anything longer. If the timing or the service is wrong, it will be obvious quickly.
