Price is the easiest thing to compare between couriers and the least useful, because a cheap quote and an expensive one are rarely for the same service. These five questions tell them apart.
1. Who carries my parcel?
Experienced, regular couriers, or whoever is free that day? It makes a difference to how your customers are treated at the door.
2. What happens when something goes wrong?
Ask specifically: who calls whom, and how quickly. A courier who has not thought about this has not had to.
3. Which areas do you really cover?
"All of the UAE" is easy to say. Ask how often they deliver to the areas that matter to you.
4. How do you handle fragile items?
If you sell anything delicate, ask what changes when a parcel is marked fragile. "Nothing" is an answer too.
5. Can I talk to a person?
Call the number on their website before you sign anything. What happens next is the most useful test you can run.
